Cleveland Codes Enforcement
The Codes Enforcement Division of the Cleveland Police Department enforces city codes and regulations that result in the protection of the health, safety and welfare of all citizens. To preserve the environment and beauty of our great city through programs that educate and enforce the municipal codes of the City of Cleveland. Codes Enforcement joining the CPD is an effort to be more proactive. “The staff will now implement proactive enforcement of property maintenance regulations, refuse and building regulations,” Assistant City Manager Melinda Carroll said in a written statement. “Code enforcement will be shared by many city departments and cooperation with police officers.
